질문 : 제가 법문 만난 지가 9년 차 됐어요. 참 어리석은 시간을 너무 많이 살다가 법문을 만나고서 남 탓하지 마라, 불평불만 하지 마라, 공짜 없다. 불평불만을 참 많이 하고 살았습니다. 그래서 모든 것이 그때는 몰랐는데 왜 나왔는지, 왜 잘못됐는지가 그냥 하나하나 알게 되더라고요. 나이가 77세입니다. 집에서 공부를 저 혼자 부지런히 하고 있습니다. 그런데 남 탓하지 마라, 불평불만 하지 마라가 제 마음속에 아주 자리가 잡히면서 마음의 평정이 찾아지고, 가화만사성이 저절로 되는 그것을 느끼면서 신나게 일도 하고 신나게 공부도 하고 있습니다. 스승님 감사합니다.

선배가 뭐냐 하면, 우리는 지금 베이비부머들부터 해가 대한민국 사람이라고 이야기하는 거예요.

그러면 조선시대에 살던 그 그분들은 누구냐? 우리 조상님들이에요.

왜? 전부 다 그 자료 안에서 우리가 배워 갖고 이걸 갖고 놀기 때문에 이거는 스승이 안 되는 거예요.
성경으로 가지고 이렇게 이야기하면 이건 스승이 아니에요.
그럼 불경으로 가지고 하는 것도 도경으로 가지고 하는, 이 자료 가지고 이거 흡수해 갖고 가르치는 거는 이걸 선생이라 그래요.
어 이건 선생이고.
이 자료 안에 없는 거, 없는 걸 가지고 이 자연의 법칙을 가르치는 걸 스승이라고 해요.
그걸 진리라고 하는 거예요.
진리는 자료 속에 있는 거 아니야.
자료 속에 있는 거는 이건 지식이기 때문에 이걸 흡수해 가지고,
앞에 먼저 흡수했으니까 뒤에 사람 가르치는 거는 이건 선생들이고,
스승이라는 거는 이 세상에 없는 것을 이제 진리로 자연의 법칙을 가르치는 게 스승이에요.
그러니까 그때는 스승이 나올 때가 안 돼서 안 나온 거란 말이에요.
그러니까 선생들이 나왔을 때 도술도 주고 저 뭐 그 능력도 주고 막 이랬죠?
왜? 그래야 그 사람 앞에 오니까.
그 이제 스승은 그런 거 도술을 갖고 안 나와요.
진리로 가르침을 주려고 나오는 거죠.

그러니까 바르게 이해돼서 따르는 만큼 그 사람이 좋아지니까, 이루어지니까, 몸이 낫아지니까.
뭐 이런 것들이 가르침을 받으면서 기운을 받아야 되는.
이제 그런 것들이죠.
그래서 지금 앞으로 미래는,
이제 우리는 지식은 다 갖춘 사람들이고,
이 이 전부 다 지식인들은 뭐라 하냐? 지식인들이라 그래요.
지식인들이라는 이야기를 쓴다라는 건, 같다 이 말이에요. 같은 틀 안에 있다.
누가 잘났고 못난 게 아니에요.
같이 서로가 나누면서 이렇게 힘을 같이 이렇게 써야 되는데,
내가 갖춘 지식이 이 쪽을 갖췄다고 이것만 갖고 고집을 하고 이것만 가지고 고집을 하니까
지금 이 사회가 엉망진창이 되는 거예요.
이제는 요것도 조금 내가 알고, 요것도 알고, 요것도 앎으로써 종합적으로 분별이 나는 거거든요.
그런 걸 못 했던 거죠.
그래서 이때까지 이제 파벌로 전부 다 있다가 보니까,
전부 다 남의 거를 이해를 못 하는, 안 하려고 하는 게 아니고, 이 못하는 그런 사회가 돼 갖고 있는 거죠.

이제는 저마다 소질을 갖고 성장을 했기 때문에 자기 분야는 잘하는데, 딴 분야는 내가 모르는 게 많으니까 같이 융합을 해야 될 때라는 거죠.
융합을 해야 될 때 융합을 못 하고 있은 게 오늘날에 이제 전부 다 힘들어지는,

융합을 못 하는 거죠.
저 사람 생각도 내가 좀 들어보고, 저 사람이 하고 있는 것도 좀 들어보고, 저쪽 종교에서 하는 것도 내가 조금 이래 받아 넣어보고, 뭐 저런 것도 받아보고, 내 것도 섞어보고 이래가지고 좋은 이걸 갖다가 우리가 같이 이렇게 뭔가를 이렇게 하니까 물리가 터진단 말이죠.
그런 공부를 안 한 거예요.
그래서 이제는 신을 믿으면서 우리가 성장을 했다면,
지금은 신을 믿을 때가 아니고 이제는 성장기가 끝나버렸으면 사람이 신이란 말이에요.
